PHOTO SPEAK:OVER 200 YOUTH ORGANIZATION REPRESENTATIVES AT THE #NYRC2015

The National Youth Reform Conference was convened by a team of vibrant and young people led by Charles Olufemi Folayan. The conference brought together over 200 youth organizations from the 36 states of Nigeria to participate and deliberate on key issues affecting young people directly or indirectly in Nigeria.
ISSUES:
  • President Muhammadu Buhari blueprint on youth development.
  • Constitution, laws and policies affecting young people in Nigeria.
  • State of Education in Nigeria
  • State of things at the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP), and National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
  • Peace and security in Nigeria vis-à-vis the role of youths.
  • Realignment and consolidation of youth organization and programs in Nigeria.
  • United Nations SDGs New World Development Agenda.
  • Youth inclusion in political participation

  • Youth Entrepreneurship development

  • Active implementation of the national youth policy

  • Quality and functional education for all youth
At the end of the deliberations, problems were identified, recommendations, possible solutions, implementation strategies, sustainable plans and goals of the conference was achieved.
In conclusion, a communique was drafted and the final report was adopted and signed by all youth leaders, which will be presented to the Presidency and all the relevant authorities for further actions.
The youth resolved to reform our society for the better  by changing our mentality. We must change Nigeria and the time is now!
